I´m writing you from Santa Fe, Argentina and want to send my honest congratulations for the work you´re making in your
foundation.I reached your home page searching for non profit organizations that works teaching fundamentals of basketball and sportmanship and it was great to find you!. The reason for that search is that I also work for a basketball organization, specifically we participates in the amateur local league with kids and youngmen from 7 to 17 years old. Our name is "República del Oeste" (West Republic in spanish, that´s the name of the low class neighbourhood we´re located in) and we try to educate kids in a healthy enviroment, learning leadership skills and respecting the value of work hard for theirs dreams the believe... all by learning and playing the best sport in the world... basketball!!! The Haynes Basketball Foundation outshined themselves at the Veterans Labor Day Tournament. I like how you guys came and took charge of the event with adding some structure to the games. The banners were well done and gave some authenticity to what the veterans are trying to do and let the public know that basketball is alive in Guyana. We need more ex-players to step up and help you guys in the fight.

You guys deserve a ton of credit for your efforts. I followed closely all the developments dating back to making Guyana's basketball financially viable once again with the Caricom Basketball Confederation, right up to the conclusion of the championship in Puerto Rico. Your contribution was undoubtedly invaluable and evident from the inception. It is unfortunate the way everything worked out (or maybe I should the way everything did not work out) I could imagine you saying to yourselves " not me again!" Be assured that your work did not go unnoticed and I urge you guys not to let this experience be a hindrance to your contribution to the development as well as your potential to develop the sport locally, it is needed in the worst way.
